Most of us know anxiety can be a very hard thing to conquer if it is not discovered and treated quickly. It is important to treat anxiety as early as possible because it can get where a individual finds themselves incapable of controlling regular things that they might face in their daily lives.

It might be hard to know the symptoms of anxiety even more so if the patient does not realize that he is affected by the condition. Those who seem to feel sick for no apparent reason are advised to seek medical assistance immediately because they might be at risk of having a heart attack in the future, that in case it is not anxiety. It is important to identify an anxiety disorder in an early stage because if not provided proper attention, several other complications may occur.

Generally, if some one is found to be suffering from this disorder treatment is usually started with prescription drugs. This is because for starters it does provide some relief from the anxiety attacks which is quite comforting for the patient. However, the relief is only temporary to the victims of this disorder who might chose to withdraw them socially and opt to live in isolation. If they keep going on this course and chose to live in their own closeted world, then their social life is going to be severely affected and become very limited.

Many anxiety treatments are available but all can have serious side affects. Professionals have labeled a proper and healthy dietary and sleeping pattern and organizing exercise as one of the most effective panic anxiety treatments. Those people who are affected by anxiety disorders should work on relaxation techniques frequently and must maintain a schedule for their meditation as well. During this time, they should work on breathing techniques and also try to free their mind of all negative thoughts and instill positive thoughts that will soon lead to complete recovery.

Many non drug online programs are available to aid sufferers cure panic and anxiety disorders and panic attacks following simple methods that work and they can even be practiced at home.

If you’re truly serious about learning how to control anxiety and stop a panic attack, see my complete list of panic and anxiety self-help guides on this page that many other people have used with tremendous success.

When you have your first anxiety attack, it can be very unnerving. You don’t know what is going on. Your heart starts racing and pounding, you feel like you are losing control and you don’t know why, you suddenly feel like you need to flee to the safety of your home and you are out in public. This just makes you feel worse.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stresses of life. Fight or flight syndrome is normal to human nature but it can turn into a ongoing condition. to where it takes over a person’s life. About 5 percent of the population will experience anxiety attacks at some point in their lives.Severe stress such as the loss of a job, death of a loved one, divorce can trigger them. Also life transitions like college, having a baby, getting married and getting a job seem to be connected.

So, how do you know when it has become a problem? Some of the symptoms of anxiety are:
*troubled sleep
*troubled eating habits
*difficulty concentrating
*panic attacks

Panic attacks are a common condition that where a person has has ongoing anxiety and it has progressed to a point where they are having worse symptoms on a regular basis. It also can be brought on by episodes of intense fear. Panic attacks can happen anywhere and can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few days in length. They can also happen when a person is asleep.

About 5 percent of the population will experience panic attacks at some point in their lives. Severe stress such as the loss of a job, death of a loved one,divorce can trigger them. Also life transitions like college, having a baby, getting married and getting a job seem to be connected. Often times anxiety attacks turn into panic attacks, which are more intense, yet typically only last up to a few hours at the most. In order for Panic attacks to be diagnosed as such, one must have them at a certain frequency. Drugs, alcohol, caffeine, ephedrine, stimulants, over the counter pills, and diet pills can all induce sudden states of anxiety or panic attack. Also being in a certain place or situation can trigger panic attacks.

Some of panic attack symptoms are:
* worry; worrying about relationships, employment, etc.
* shortness of breath or suffocation
* a racing heart
* feeling insecure
* cold and clammy hands
* feel like you’re losing it
* difficulty swallowing; choking sensation, throat tightness
* dizziness
* unable to focus; lacks concentration
* irritability
* headache
* chest pain; tightness in chest
* nausea
* avoidance; wanting to be alone
* fear of losing control or of catastrophe
* body temperature changes
* shaking/trembling
* numbness
* raised blood pressure
* insomnia
* consumed with issue at hand
* fatigue
* can’t stand or sit in one place, have to keep pacing around or getting up
* tingling in the hands and feet

Women tend to have anxiety and panic attacks more than men. Some people are affected by frequent panic attacks, which is known as panic disorder. Many of the symptoms that happen during a panic attack are the same symptoms that accompany many of the diseases of the heart, lungs and nervous system. These similarities can make the person having the attack even more fearful in thinking that they may have one of these dreaded conditions.

There are several medications that will help make panic attacks less severe or they can stop them all together. Paxil and Zoloft are just two of these medicines that have been used for Anxiety and panic attack disorders. Klonopin is also another medication approved for such use. These are all in the antidepressant family. Cognitive Behavioral therapy can help people learn to deal with anxiety and panic attack symptoms.

Natural cures for anxiety panic attack symptoms is another form of treatment that a person could look into. There is relaxation and biofeedback training, which induces a state of tranquility and calmness, focusing on yourself and your bodies energy. A lot of ancient and eastern exercises or martial arts for example are geared toward this. Yoga is a good example, and Tai Chi is an excellent example.They help focus the mind into relaxed states that can help the sufferer get some much needed relief.

Here’s how you can use your imagination in treating panic disorders:

1) Imagine your panic disorder as a creature that is ugly, awkward, small, and weak. Give panic a different name that will signify your power over it. For this example, let’s say you named it something such as tiny You want tiny to be gone out of your life because you are strong and mighty. Now every time Tiny comes around, do what you can to kick it out. It doesn’t deserve to be anywhere around your presence.

Every time you think bad thoughts or negative thoughts, horrible images in your mind, get rid of them. Tiny will love it and loves to make you suffer from those terrifying pictures in your head because it feels more in control of you. Are you going to allow that dummy to dominate you? No way! So you have to get angry enough to stomp those images out of your mind to defeat that weak little tiny. Think of tiny raising its hands in surrender because it can’t do anything against you.

Once those images go away, tiny will go with them. Slowly, you’re treating panic disorders. When you have acquired domination over your panic attacks and anxieties, celebrate your success!

2) Pep up your self-talk.

Tell your brain and subconscious that you are able and ready to stand up to any panic attack or anxiety that may come. Tell them to “Bring it on!”

Your thoughts should also be doubled with the right emotions. If you say to your mind you can conquer your fears and anxieties, but you still feel deep inside that you can’t control it, the negative emotions win. Your thoughts and emotions must work together in harmony to overcome panic attacks.

Can Going To School Make You Sick?

A young person suffering from panic disorder symptoms may experience anxiety panic attack at school. Nevertheless, it may be a common event and the child hides the symptoms from others many times. As a result, the occurrence is more at home than at school. Furthermore, the child may also suffer from didaskaleinophobia or school phobia, which is somewhat common among many children and is itself a form of anxiety disorder occurring in childhood.

Common Panic Attack Symptoms

The usual symptoms might include recurring unexpectedly occurring panic attacks, continuous and abrupt interruption in different activities, low self-esteem, difficulty concentrating, poor academic performance, and difficulty in separating from parents, etcetera. The situation may be worse when it is associated with any type of learning disorder. During his or her anxiety panic attack at school, the child may also report about stomach ache and other physical symptoms.

Successful Involvement Is Key

Although the situation may seem to be quite difficult while managing a student with anxiety panic attack at school, there are actually several ways that a school can be of help to the child involved. At the preliminary phase of the intervention, a collaborative teaching plan should be set up during which a meeting between parents and teachers along with school staff needs to be implemented.

The affected child may need the necessary changes implemented within the classroom setup so that he or she can stay away from panic triggers or become able to get a hold his or her panic attack at school. In fact, there are number of useful approaches that can be implemented in the classroom for better accommodation of the kids who are at greater risk of experiencing a panic attack while in school.

First of all, a check-in module should be established to monitor whether the child will be able to manage classes successfully. The teachers or other school staff should be able to facilitate an undemanding environment where the child would be able to adjust himself especially when he experiences a panic or anxiety attack during school. However, they also need to reward the child as a way to reinforce his presence and being able to control his panic attack once in progress.

The teachers should help the child to develop helpful self-interventions such as enhancing problem-solving ability by engaging the child into a sequence of tasks. A child’s anxiety and or panic attack at school may develop during peer interaction. In fact, this is one of the critical factors that may trigger panic attacks in a child. This is where a teacher’s positive participation can be of help at both ends. Moreover, teacher and school staffs must utilize stratagem to anticipate sensitive issues such as violence. Relaxation techniques should be employed in the child’s curriculum as it is crucially important for reducing stress in the school setting.

Panic disorder refers to a circumstance during which the sufferers go through a short period of intense fear mostly without any apparent causes for this fear. It is also known as panic attack. For many people an panic attack may be a once in a lifetime problem, while for others it can be a lifelong difficulty, attributing as an panic attack disorder. If someone is having anxiety attack at least twice a month, it implies that the individual is suffering from panic attack disorder. In its severe form, panic attack disorder can be life-threatening and disabling too.

Common Causes

Despite their distinctive features, all panic attack disorders share one common aspect, which is persistency characterized by overwhelming feeling of fear, anxiety and panic. The frequency and intensity of these fears lead an individual to experience immobilization, distress and disruption. The most common features of an panic attack disorder may involve an unrelenting and all-consuming form of anxiety, self-imposed isolation, emotional withdrawal, and maladaptive interaction with normal daily activities. In addition, panic and anxiety promotes lower self-esteem, depression, and even alcoholism.

Causes and Risk Factors

There is a wide number of causes that can contribute to the development of panic attack disorder in an individual. These factors may include environment, personality, family relations, brain chemicals and genetic makeup. In addition, major life stressors like marital problems or sudden death of a close one may intensify the risk. Environmental factors like financial catastrophe, early detachment from mother, critical parents play significant role in developing anxiety attack disorder. People with weaker personality traits develop anxiety attack disorder since they find themselves weak against the world and a powerful and threatening space.

The malfunction of certain neurotransmitters like serotonin, GABA and epinephrine may also lead to the development of panic disorder. Heredity plays one of the leading roles in developing such complications. A family history with mood disorder, depression, anxiety disorder or substance abuse may heighten the risk. Some people are genetically vulnerable to stress, quite obviously they are increasingly susceptible to anxiety attack disorder. A traumatic experience may also fabricate the condition. In fact, different researches show there is a strong correlation between anxiety disorder and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Common Treatment Options

A combination of breathing exercises, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and medication is successfully used in treating panic disorder. Learning to control ones breathing, the person is able to learn how to breathe using abdomen but not the chest. In fact, people with panic and anxiety exacerbate the condition with chest breathing. CBT helps in restructuring the maladaptive thinking pattern by integrating components of cognition and behavior. Anti-anxiety drugs, beta-blockers and antidepressants are commonly known drugs used for alleviating the short-term to severe symptoms of anxiety and panic disorders.

Young people are actually quite prone to suffering from anxiety and panic disorders while the same is not the case for people that have grown older in age at which time the instances of an anxiety attack are few and far between. In fact, it is believed that an estimated eight percent plus people in all parts of the world suffer or are likely to be suffering from anxiety attacks once, if not more times in their lives.

Identifying Underlying Causes

Before a cure for panic attacks can be recommended it is necessary to understand the underlying causes of the condition. So, for example, the reason why people suffer from anxiety or panic attacks includes high levels of stress, excess intake of alcohol and drugs as well as due to certain kind of diseases. Other causes that lead to attacks and which make a person look for a cure for anxiety and panic attack include chemical disparities, imbalances in the psyche of the person as well as deficiencies in vitamins and minerals.

Even lack of sufficient amounts of magnesium have been linked to panic and anxiety. What’s more, anxiety levels in different people will vary and in some instance are especially severe while in others they are more tolerable and last for perhaps no more than five minutes. The best cure for panic attack is to try natural self help methodss that do not involve taking of any kind of medications.

Once the cause of the panic attack has been established it is then quite simple to find a natural cure for panic disorder. As long as you know what triggers the panic attack the cure for anxiety attack involves doing away with these triggers and in other cases involves closing the eyes and trying to visualize a serene place where you feel most comfortable. The calmer and more rational you are the better are the chances that you can cure anxiety attack naturally and effectively.

Even a simple act such as sitting in your favorite room where there is greater amount of intimacy can help cure a panic attack as too can practicing meditation. In addition, you can cure panic a panic by also trying out natural online products that provide aid to those that suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and these products and other simple methods can provide lasting relief.

Some people however, on account of different reasons including needing immediate relief will actually opt not for natural cure for panic attack but will prefer using medications. The only problem with the latter approach is that you risk developing a habit of taking the medication and so will find it hard to stop once you have become dependent on them.

Anxiety and Panic The Role Your Mind Plays

For someone who has had a real loss, like the loss of a spouse or some other significant life change, they can be prone to an anxiety or panic attack.

If a person has a phobia, they can have a panic attack in reaction to exposure to the thing they are fearful of.

Once someone has had a panic or anxiety attack, they are more likely to have another panic attack in a similar situation. It is as if their body learns to put the two things together that (for example) being in that situation means they are in danger or under stress and must have another anxiety attack.

What Happens

Having a panic attack is a very frightening thing leaving the sufferer scared, upset, and uncomfortable. Usually it happens all of a sudden, with no warning. The body just suddenly releases many hormones. It is as if the body is in the middle of fight or flight syndrome, with huge amounts of epinephrine released. (Epinephrine is also known as adrenaline, the key hormone in fight or flight syndrome.)

So what does a panic or anxiety attack feel like? It is marked by an intense feeling of fear sometimes to the extent that the sufferer feels they are having a heart attack or are going crazy! They can last from just a very brief few seconds to half an hour or longer.

Regardless of how long the anxiety or panic attack lasts, more important is the cause. While any certain cause of an anxiety or panic attack may be difficult to identify, there are causes that are typical. If you want to stop your anxiety attacks, looking at these potential causes might help you find relief.

The Role The Body Plays

Some conditions of the body can lead to having panic attacks. Hypoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, labyrinthitis, Vitamin B deficiency, post traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder are all things that can affect the body and also trigger a panic or anxiety attack.

There are also things that some people take into their body that can contribute to the likelihood of having an anxiety attack. These are caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. Other drugs, such as Ritalin, anti-depressants, marijuana, and all of the SSRI drugs can cause attacks, as well.

Having Anxiety or Panic Attacks Could Be In Your Genes

Some people have a predisposition to panic attacks in their genetic makeup. However, the opposite is also true if there is no family history of anxiety or panic attacks, a person can still develop it.

The environment in which one grows up can also contribute to a tendency toward panic attacks. Studies have found that a person who is taught to be over cautious in the world or who has a very passive style of communication are more likely to have panic or anxiety attacks.
